Fiscal Responsibility and the National Debt

Rep. Spanberger has long believed that our ballooning national debt is a long-term threat to our economic stability and national security. She supports a federal budget that responsibly addresses rising deficits, but also protects Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, national defense, Veterans’ benefits, and other essential programs. She has championed legislation that would tackle waste, fraud, and abuse, and reduce the misuse of government funds.
