Fredericksburg Today: Spanberger leads push to force action on gun violence prevention legislation in the U.S. House

FREDERICKSBURG TODAY

Spanberger signed discharge petitions to bring three bills — the Assault Weapons Ban, Bipartisan Background Checks Act, and Enhanced Background Checks Act — to the U.S. House floor for an immediate vote.

Spanberger spoke at a press conference alongside fellow members of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, Democratic leadership, gun violence prevention leaders, survivors, and advocates to call on House Republican leadership to take action to address gun violence and prevent mass shootings.
