The Congresswoman Relaunched Her Survey to Gather Additional Stories of Virginians Who Are Serving or Have Served in the U.S. Military
Spanberger Will Use Stories She Receives to Recognize the Personal Sacrifices of Virginians Who Answered the Call to Serve
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Representative Spanberger today relaunched her survey to gather stories of service from Virginians with loved ones who are active duty servicemembers or Veterans.
During Military Appreciation Month, Spanberger’s “Stories of Service” survey gives Virginians the opportunity to share the personal stories of a servicemember or Veteran in their lives. The Congresswoman will save and share many of these stories to recognize the personal sacrifices of Virginians in uniform.

“We as Americans owe a great debt of gratitude to every servicemember — past and present — who has served our country in uniform. As the daughter and granddaughter of Veterans, I understand that we are undoubtedly freer thanks to the service and sacrifice of Virginians who have answered the call,” said Spanberger. “This Military Appreciation Month, I hope to honor the service and sacrifice of the hundreds of thousands of Veterans, active duty servicemembers, and military families who call Virginia home. Their service shapes our shared history, and I hope many Virginians will join me by sharing the story of a friend, neighbor, relative, or loved one who served.”
Since first launching her survey in May 2023, Spanberger has shared “Stories of Service” she received to recognize Virginia Veterans, servicemembers, and military family members on the U.S. House floor. Click here and click here to watch her previous remarks.
