HENRICO, VA — U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger yesterday hosted her fourth town hall event in Virginia’s Seventh District. During an open, locally-focused event in Henrico County, Spanberger answered questions and listened directly to the concerns and feedback of Central Virginians.

During the town hall held at her alma mater J.R. Tucker High School, Spanberger updated constituents on her recent work in Washington, including passing legislation that would reauthorize protections for victims of sexual assault and partner violence, leading a bipartisan push for increased internet infrastructure investment, working for Virginia cattlemen to delay burdensome ELD regulations, introducing and passing her amendment requiring accurate rural broadband mapping data, and launching the 2019 Rural Broadband Survey.

“I appreciate every opportunity to answer questions and hear directly from my constituents about the issues on the minds of Seventh District residents,” said Spanberger. “Our communities are home to people from diverse backgrounds—and with views spanning the political spectrum. In Congress, my focus remains on making sure every Central Virginian’s voice is heard—and to use those concerns and suggestions to shape the legislative conversation in Washington.”

During the first week of the two-week district work period, Spanberger has met with constituents, toured the Virginia Holocaust Museum with middle school students, discussed the growth of Central Virginia’s regional economy at the Richmond Raceway, and celebrated the naturalization ceremony of new American citizens. The Congresswoman has another town hall scheduled for next week in Louisa County. The details are as follows:

Tuesday, April 23, 6:00-7:00 pm
Louisa County High School
757 Davis Highway
Mineral, VA 23117

Last month, Spanberger announced five additional town halls to be held in the remaining five counties in Virginia’s Seventh District later this year.
