Seventh District Residents Have the Opportunity to Attend Virtual Meetings with the Congresswoman’s Office Staff to Discuss Personal Issues with Federal Agencies & Programs

HENRICO, V.A.  – U.S. Representative Abigail Spanberger today announced the launch of virtual office hours for Spring 2021. These office hours will be county-specific, and they will be specially focused on each of the Seventh District’s 10 counties.

As the COVID-19 crisis continues, these virtual office hours will make it easier for Central Virginians to address issues they’re facing with federal agencies. During these sessions, Spanberger’s staff will be available to assist with issues like veterans benefits, military benefits, the Social Security Administration, Medicare and Medicaid, or any other federal agency or benefit. The first virtual office hours session will be tomorrow — Tuesday, March 30, 2021 — for Chesterfield County residents.

“I’m proud to have a dedicated team of district staff members who are consistently working to address issues Central Virginians are facing with federal agencies. As the pandemic continues, it’s critical for my office to remain available and accessible to those we serve in our communities,” said Spanberger. “Our office is here to help to make sure our neighbors receive the timely answers and fair treatment from our federal government that they deserve. If anyone in the Seventh District is experiencing an issue with any federal agency, program, or benefit, I strongly encourage them to join these virtual office hours or contact our team directly.”

RSVPs are required, and Seventh District residents can sign up on Spanberger’s website here or by calling (804) 401-4110.

Since taking office on January 3, 2019, Spanberger’s team has closed 1,899 cases for Central Virginians and returned nearly $5,000,000 in casework funds back to Seventh District constituents. These casework dollars are secured and returned by fighting for backlogged benefits and advocating for fair treatment on behalf of constituents dealing with a federal agency or program.

If a constituent is unable to attend their county-specific mobile office hours, they are encouraged to reach out directly to Spanberger’s Henrico County office by calling (804) 401-4110. Additionally, they can open a casework concern with Spanberger’s office here.
