Before she began her keynote remarks, 7th District Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger presented the outgoing Mayor a copy of the Congressional Record.

Spanberger wrote on her Facebook page:

Today, I was also honored to present Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw with a commendation I entered into the Congressional Record to celebrate and thank her for decades of service to the people of Fredericksburg. She has been a wonderful partner to me as we invest in physical infrastructure projects, support local businesses, and deliver for Fredericksburg — and I wish her well in her retirement.
