CBS19: Spanberger’s statement on USPS delays

CBS19, SARAH ROBINSON

Following Senator Mark Warner’s visit to Charlottesville on Thursday to talk about major USPS delays impacting hundreds in the area, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger is also speaking out.

She re-launched a survey for her constituents last month, offering a space where they could write openly about their mail delay experience and how it impacts their day-to-day life.

“Unfortunately, I continue to hear from Central Virginians about mail delays,” said Spanberger. “These delays are unacceptable and Postmaster [General Louis] DeJoy needs to pay attention. I will continue to use our mail survey responses to make clear that the U.S. Postal Service leadership needs to step up.”
