CULPEPER STAR EXPONENT, STAFF REPORTS
To cut health-insurance premiums and protect Central Virginians with pre-existing conditions, U.S. Rep. Abigail Spanberger helped introduce legislation Tuesday to stabilize the Affordable Care Act. Her bill would make health care more affordable, strengthen tax credits, steady the ACA marketplace, and stop insurance companies from selling junk insurance, Spanberger’s office said. The Democrat representing Virginia’s 7th Congressional District cosponsored the legislation after the U.S. Department of Justice announced it will encourage courts to nullify the Affordable Care Act. On Tuesday, she spoke out against the Trump administration’s push to dismantle the healthcare law. |
