Simms Drive Extension

Recipient name and address: Culpeper County, 302 North Main Street, Culpeper VA 22701

Funding requested: $1,000,000

Description of the request: Culpeper County is requesting $1,000,000 to construct an extension on Simms Drive, providing a second access point to Pearl Sample Elementary School and A.G. Richardson Elementary School. Currently, vehicle access to both schools is restricted to one entrance/exit point, creating significant traffic congestion during student drop-off and pick-up times, and negatively impacting students, parents, school faculty, bus drivers, and other local residents affected by the traffic.
